Mano skalėje Lynčo "Dune" yra ekranizacija, o Bekmambetovo "Dienos sargyba" nebe. Tai paaiškinu tuo, kad pastarasis filmas neperneša knygos istorijos todėl netenkina ekranizacijos apibrėžimo .
